The Franklin County Auditor serves as the Chief Financial Officer of the county and is responsible for maintaining accurate
records of all money received by and paid out of the county treasury. The Auditor’s office fiscal department releases an Annual
Comprehensive Financial Report which details the management of county funds as well as a reader-friendly abbreviated
companion report known as the Popular Annual Financial Report each year.

In 2024, the Fiscal Department was awarded the Government
Finance Officers Association’s (GFOA) Certificate of
